Have you heard about True&Co? I want to spill, they are my absolute new favorite spot to shop for unbralievable bras! Almost a year ago I saw an instagram ad for, honestly, a very ugly bra. This bra wasn’t anything along the lines of what I usually purchased but it looked so comfortable! I’d also been hearing about potential problems that stemmed from underwire bras so I decided to give it a try. When my order arrived, I instantly fell in love! Not only was this bra incredibly comfortable but it also looked great under my blouses for work. It was so smooth and seamless. Since purchasing this one I’ve found three more I love from True & Co. I’m excited to share my four favorites from True&Co! If you try them, I hope you fall in love as much as I did- you should spill the secret with others too!
- True Body Mesh Adjustable Strap Bra
- Soft Lace Unlined Balconette Bra
- True Body V Neck Bra
- True Body Triangle Racer Back Bra

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale rolls around each year around this time. In preparation for the sale I have historically seen other bloggers give it a ton of hype. Last year (my first year trying this whole blogging thing), I immediately got started on my #NSALE post to get it up before the sale was open to give you a preview to the sale and hopefully inspire some fall fashion ideas and highlight my favorites. This year, I’ve intentionally gone about it very differently. I chose to wait until everyone could shop the sale so I knew my style and picks would be in stock and shop-able (at least when the post went live).

I’m not sure if it just me, but this year I’ve definitely seen a shift, for the better, in the blogging world about around the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. There is more recognition that it’s not so urgent or important. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Anniversary Sale, it’s a great time to fill my fall wardrobe with a few pieces and grab some staples on sale but I 100% don’t believe on going overboard about the sale and here are three reasons why.
1. The items that sold out quickly, will come back.
People go crazy over this annual sale! Lot’s of people, myself included, buy items in multiple sizes planning to try things on for the best-fit. The returns will restock the website for most items.
2. Many of same items on sale now, will go on sale again in a few months.
I cannot count the number of times in the past that I’ve purchased something from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale thinking that I was getting a good deal to find it marked-down again later, even more than when I purchased it. If you use the heart option on the blog, you can get notified when these items go back on sale after the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is over!
3. You don’t need to open a new credit card to shop.
The sale is great but your financial stability and credit is a lot more important. If you don’t have or want a Nordstrom credit card, I don’t think you should get one just to shop a sale a couple days early.

There’s nothing that starts getting me in the holiday spirit like layering up with some red sweaters. As temperatures drop sweaters are the perfect way to layer in all different climates and red brings so much brigtness to your look and the early evenings. I love that a red sweater can be festive enough for the holidays but simple enough for everyday and post-holiday wear.

I have three upcoming weddings this fall and a Christmas party or two to prepare. I always like buying dresses well ahead of time so I know that I have something planned. If I find a different dress closer to the time, I have no problem making the switch but I cannot handle the feeling of not having an outfit that I am looking forward to wearing a week before an event. I’ve started the process of finding some dresses that I love for the events I know are coming up. I found one dress that I am so in love with, I had to share it!
This bow twist dress comes in several colors: Black, Cobalt, Light Blue, Pink, and Red. This dress is under $70, and the quality/shape is great for this price point! The red was probably my favorite but since I am opting to wear it for a wedding next weekend I chose to stick with cobalt.

The website suggests you size up and I highly back that recommendation. This dress has a great, snug fit, but it definitely runs smaller than my usual dress size.

I posted this back to work look on instagram. I made several purchases for this outfit from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. I shared all my sale favorites on the blog. This top is J.Crew was purchased from Nordstrom. It is so comfortable. I love that the stripes don’t look too busy and the feminine detail that the sleeves add. It looks great paired for work or casually with jeans. These Vince Camuto shoes have been an all-time favorite. I can wear them to work, out on the town, or dance in them all night at a wedding. They’re so comfortable (In my opinion, they’re a better version of the popular Stuart Weitzman) I have them in a few variations and colors!

Yay! I have been keeping my eye out for a new swimsuit all season. I finally found a suit that I was I obsessed with! I tried to order it from Nordstrom where I originally saw it unfortunately, it was sold out in most sizes. I decided to check Amazon (my go-to website). I was able to find it on Amazon for the same price. It was available in all sizes + FREE 2 day shipping as an Amazon Prime member! It came in on Thursday and I was so excited to wear it to the pool this weekend! Here’s a peak at my favorite 2018 swimsuit (and links to purchase for yourself)!

I love this bathing suit top! I try to avoid any bathing suits that provide support by going around the neck. I end up with a headache or neck pain by the end of the day anytime I wear a halter bathing suit. This one stays up well as a bandeau and the arm pieces help provide a little support as well. It has a really great comfortable lining so that you aren’t worried about shape or how cold the water is. I also love the amount of coverage it offers, and the nice fit of the off-the-shoulder (OTS) sleeves. It is super stretchy which makes it move really well with your body.

The bottoms totally rock too! They have a ton of stretch in the smock so the don’t feel saggy when they get wet or start to pull away from your waist when you bend. The bottoms also provide decent coverage, which is important to me.

This coverup would have been perfect for a Fourth of July pool party or boat day! It’s from Anthropologie and is on sale right now. Snag it for next year! I love the red, white, and blue colors with the metallic threading. It’s a cute patriotic cover-up that you can wear any day of the year and isn’t too over-the-top. My hat is also on sale from Banana Republic. It took me a little too long to get down with the hats but now I am in love! A great thing about this pick is that it comes in two sizes S/M and L/XL and is “packable”. Packable means that you can fold it up and flatten it in your suitcase and know it will bounce back to its original shape!
